Why this one

You have been putting this off for a while now.

You already know what you need. More sleep. Fewer notifications. Something that makes your body feel like yours again. And every year it slides to the bottom of the list, underneath everyone else's stuff.

This is five days where that flips. You come first. No cooking, no planning, no logistics. You wake up, you move, you breathe, you get in the cold water, you get in the hot water, you eat something incredible, you nap in a hammock with no guilt about it.

We are keeping it small on purpose. Twenty six people in one private property means real conversations, real rest, and nobody performing wellness at anybody. Couples, solo travelers, yoga besties, wellness lovers, everyone is welcome. Just a group of people who decided they were worth the plane ticket.

You do not need to earn this. You just need to book it.

The water

Cold on purpose. Hot on purpose.

This property was built around contrast therapy, and it is the reason we picked it. Your nervous system does not learn from comfort. It learns in the swing between one thing and the other, and then it remembers how to come back down.

38–45°F

Ice bath

Guided, never forced. You will learn to stay in your breath instead of bracing against it, which turns out to be the whole skill.

76°F

Pools

A long pool under the trees plus a plunge pool for the in between. This is where the afternoons disappear.

102°F

Hot tubs

Open to the jungle. Best used at dusk with wet hair and no phone anywhere near you.

180°F

Sauna

A glass walled cedar sauna looking straight into the canopy. Group rounds daily, plus it is open whenever you want it.

A day here

  3. Power Vinyasa Flow with Mel or AmyAn energizing morning flow to wake the whole body up, open to every level. We alternate who leads.
  4. Workshop with Mel & AmyLed by both of us. Nervous system, self worth, boundaries, pleasure. One theme a day.
  5. Lunch, includedA fresh midday meal at the property to refuel before the afternoon.
  6. Open afternoonPool, sauna, ice, hammock, hot tub, repeat in any order.
  7. Breathwork in the saunaGuided breath in the heat of the cedar sauna. The session people cry in and then feel lighter for a week.
  8. DinnerMost nights we head into town together to eat. One night, a private chef cooks dinner for the whole group at the property.

Your hosts

Two teachers who needed this as much as you do.

We both teach free flow vinyasa and come from similar yoga backgrounds, so we teach in a similar way, just with different voices and different perspectives on the mat. We actually met through Instagram eight years ago, back when Amy was 20 and Mel was 23. Amy came and stayed with Mel in Marina del Rey and we had the most epic adventures, and somehow we never lost touch. We reconnected in San Diego and realized our energies are still completely aligned, so we decided to bring people together and create a little magic. This retreat is the version of that we always wanted to build, and we are hosting the exact five days we would want to be guests at.

Mel

200hr CYT · Melspirations

Mel has taught yoga since 2018, beginning with her first business, yoga for professional athletes. When Covid hit, she went all in on building an online yoga business, and today over 920K combined followers move through her yoga challenges and tutorials. She leads with authenticity and wants to inspire other women to do the same. What she teaches is a way back into your own body, no matter how flexible or athletic you are.

She is also a mom of two with a third on the way, so this retreat is a real reset for her too. She is walking into it needing exactly what she is building for you.

Amy

500hr CYT · @amyruthyoga

Amy is a certified yoga teacher and a seasoned retreat host who most recently led a transformational retreat in Peru. She and Mel come from similar yoga backgrounds and teach in a similar way, just with different voices and different perspectives. She knows how to hold a room, how to hold a group through the deep parts, and how to make everyone feel like they belong there from the first morning.

Stop thinking your way through life and start feeling it. Five days to get out of your head, back into your body, and fully, wildly present.

Before you ask

The honest answers

Can I come alone?

Most people do, and it is genuinely the best way to arrive. The casitas are set up for solo travellers, there is no single supplement drama, and by day two the group feels like it has known each other much longer than that.

I am not flexible and I have never done an ice bath.

Perfect. This is not an advanced yoga retreat and nobody is here to touch their toes. Every session is optional and every session is taught with options. The ice bath is guided and you decide how long you stay in, including zero seconds.

What is the deposit and when is the rest due?

$500 holds your room. The balance is due 60 days before we travel, and you can split it into payments if that makes it easier. Just tell us in the form.

Which airport do I fly into?

[Airport code and drive time go here.] We send a full travel guide once your deposit is in, and airport shuttles are included both ways so you do not have to figure out transport. We just ask that you tip your driver.

Who is this retreat for?

Everyone. Couples, solo travelers, yoga besties, wellness lovers, first timers and seasoned practitioners. Come on your own and leave with a new group, or bring your person and share a room. All bodies, all levels, all welcome.

What is included with food?

Breakfast and lunch are included every day at the property. For dinner, most nights we head into town together so you can explore the local spots, and one night a private chef cooks dinner for the whole group. Dinners out are on your own, which keeps the price down and lets you eat what you actually feel like.

Tell me about the reiki.

We are bringing a reiki master to the retreat for the week. She leads one free group reiki session for everyone, and she is also available for private one-to-one sessions if you want to book deeper personal work. Those are paid separately and arranged with her directly on site.

Is the waterfall hike included?

The waterfall hike is an optional add-on. If you want to go, you can pay to join and we will organize it. If you would rather stay back and enjoy the pools, sauna and hammocks, that is a perfectly good day too. No pressure either way.

What if I need to cancel?

Deposits are non refundable but they are transferable to another person up to 30 days out. We strongly recommend travel insurance, and we will point you at the policy we use.

Can my partner or my mom come and share my room?

Yes. The Loft rooms and the twin casitas are built for exactly that. Everyone who is joining the retreat pays the same price, so if the two of you are doing the sessions together, you each book a spot and just share the room. If your person does not want to join any of the retreat itself but wants to come along and enjoy the property, reach out to us directly and we will figure out a discounted rate for them.
